About the Podcast

We take a look at some of the common scams and threats, from romance scams to the dangers of online grooming and also risks from activity like ”money mules” which can see teens dragged into criminal activity. We also focus an episode on each of the main platforms, we’ll also be speaking to Influencers and organisations that offer advice and support. Trina Mara speaks to Sergeant Michael Quirke about the rise in money laundering cases in Ireland involving young people. A money mule is a person who transfers illegally obtained money between different payment accounts, very often in different countries, on behalf of others.
